The Indian Music Experience Museum (IME) is a first-of-its-kind interactive

non-profit initiative of the Indian Music Experience Trust, supported by the

Brigade Group. The museum features a hi-tech Exhibit Area, a Sound

Garden, a Learning Centre for music education, and several performance

spaces.

The museum seeks to engage visitors through interactive exhibits that

showcase India's musical heritage, from traditional folk music to classical

and contemporary genres. The museum's Learning Centre provides music

education for both beginners and advanced learners.

Ramakrishnan, a visitor, said, The museum shows how rich and diverse

heritage of Indian music we have, a legacy that has been passed down

through the centuries, and one that we are proud to showcase to the

world." The museum's focus on preserving and promoting Indian music is

essential in a rapidly changing world where traditional art forms are often

overlooked.

Yashasvi, another visitor, said, “IME's Sound Garden, which features a

collection of musical instruments from different regions of India, which is my

favorite part of the museum.”

Visitors can play the instruments and experience the diversity of sounds

and rhythms that make Indian music so vibrant and unique.

Mrs. Preema, another visitor, said, “It is a great place to introduce the youth

to the diversity of Indian music and that’s why my kids love to come here.”

The museum has a total of three floors with an elevator connecting them. Each

floor has galleries and different forms of music could be seen, heard and

read about.
