Bengaluru, 26 February: As many as 240 Indian students from Ukraine are aboard a plane bound for Mumbai that is waiting on the runway at a Romanian airport.
The plane, AI1944, headed to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, is on the runway at Henri Coanda International Airport, Otopeni, Romania.
A medical student from Karnataka, studying in Chernivitsi, Ukraine, who reached Romania by bus and is on the plane, said that a delay of six hours is expected before the plane
takes off.
Officials at Mumbai Airport Terminal 3 said the plane is expected to reach Mumbai at 9.30 pm. However, the student said they are likely to reach only at 11.30 pm.
